Our events and programs are intentionally driven to provide support and awareness to Iowa men and their families who are affected by prostate cancer.

Through advocacy, awareness, and community engagement, we’re working to ensure that no man - and no family - face this journey alone.
Team Blue Iowa is made up of survivors, supporters, and local Iowans who donate their time, talent, and treasures to ensure that every dollar we raise goes directly back to our community, helping to promote awareness and early detection.
Team Blue Iowa Annual Events
Backpack Program
Team Blue Iowa, in partnership with The Urology Center of Iowa, have raised funds to give newly diagnosed prostate cancer patients comfort backpacks filled with items that have been suggested by former patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals. The backpacks contain items to occupy their mind and help them throughout treatment, whether that is surgery or radiation (books, blankets, puzzles, etc.) and comfort items. They also contain critical information about their treatment regimen and ways to help in their recovery (information about treatment, physical therapy, incontinence garments, etc.)
